Creation is a 7-week series where kids will learn about their creative Creator and how God created each of us with a unique purpose. Each week shows how the creation story in Genesis connects with the rest of the Bible.

Series Verse:"For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” (Exodus 20:11 NIV)

Week 1
 - Bible Story - Day 1 - Light (Genesis 1:1-5)
 - Today's Takeaway - I can be a light in the darkness.
 - Weekly Verse - “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14 NLT)

Week 2
 - Bible Story - Day 2 - Sky (Genesis 1:6-8)
 - Today's Takeaway - I want my life to reflect God's glory to others.
 - Weekly Verse - “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” (Psalm 19:1 NLT)

Week 3
 - Bible Story - Day 3 - Land, Seas, and Plants (Genesis 1:9-13; Matthew 7:15-20)
 - Today's Takeaway - I want my actions to show others that I follow Jesus.
 - Weekly Verse - “Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.” (Matthew 7:20 NLT)

Week 4
 - Bible Story - Day 4 - Sun, Moon, and Stars (Genesis 1:14-19)
 - Today's Takeaway - I will walk in the light of God's direction.

Week 5
 - Bible Story - Day 5 - Birds and Fish (Genesis 1:20-23)
 - Today's Takeaway - I will listen to the Holy Spirit, who lives inside of me.
 - Weekly Verse - “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,” (1 Corinthians 6:19 NLT)

Week 6
 - Bible Story - Land Animals and Humans (Genesis 1:24-31)
 - Today's Takeaway - I was created to be like God.
 - Weekly Verse - “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

Week 7
 - Bible Story - Day 7 - God Rested (Genesis 2:1-3)
 - Today's Takeaway - I should make time for a Sabbath even when my life gets crazy.
 - Weekly Verse - "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27 NLT)
